I just bought a Sanyo 55in lcd tv. with 120hz on, i get "hiccups". i have verizon fios. am connected with hdmi?

when i turn off 120hz, the problem goes away. had a verizon tech come in, said signal is fine, must be the tv. called sanyo, they said its a signal problem. any suggestions?
